People's experience of the service

Updated 11 March 2026

People told us they felt safe. We observed many kind and respectful interactions between staff and people. People told us staff were kind, and responsive to their needs. A person told us, “If you need [staff], they are there.” Another said, “[Staff] look after me well,” and “if it wasn’t for the lasses I wouldn’t get by.”

People were offered a range of activities to take part in, including one‑to‑one engagement for those who preferred it, group activities, and exploring the local community.

Staff encouraged people to maintain their independence and care and support was not rushed, supporting people to make their choices and decisions. A person told us how staff supported them with routine medical appointments and staff would sometimes help even come in on their days off.
