Governance, management and sustainability
At the inspection on 28 July 2025, we found the practice had made the following improvements to comply with the regulation:
Complaints information was available for patients to view in the practice.
The sharps risk assessment had been updated.
Fire alarms and emergency lights were being tested on a regular basis and fire evacuation drills were being completed. However, we saw that not all high priority actions highlighted in the fire risk assessment dated November 2024 had been carried out. Actions were still required to ensure these were completed.
An infection prevention and control (IPC) audit had been completed by the provider, yet this was not fully reflective of the processes in the practice. Improvements were required to ensure that the audit was correctly completed.
The risk assessments to minimise the risk that could be caused from substances that are hazardous to health had been updated. However, further improvements were required to ensure that manufacturer safety data sheets were available for all hazardous materials.
