During a routine inspection
We observed staff interacting with people who used the service. People told us they were very satisfied with the level of care they received and that staff were respectful of their wishes. People we spoke with told us 'I like it here, it is my home, the staff are kind and everybody is pleasant'. Another person told us 'I prefer to stay in my room but I can always join the others if I want, the staff pop in and check if I need anything, they make me laugh'.
People who used the service described the activities which were provided for them, one person said 'I love to sing along, or go outside and see the animals especially in summer it is so lovely and it reminds me of when I had my pets at home'.
When we asked people to describe the meals they told us that they were consulted and how their preferences were taken into account.
