During an assessment under our new approach
We carried out this announced on-site inspection on 3 June 2026.
We found the practice had met regulations.
The practice had effective systems to identify and manage risks, including infection prevention and control.
Staff had the skills, knowledge and experience to carry out their roles.
Recruitment procedures largely reflected current legislation and there was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement. However, some gaps were identified, including incomplete documentation for all staff members. Therefore the practice was not able to demonstrate full adherence to its own recruitment policy.
Staff generally treated patients with dignity and respect and provided care in line with current guidance. However, we observed an instance where patient confidentiality was not maintained, as a consultation was audible from the waiting area due to the treatment room door being left open during the appointment.
The practice is in Chesham and provides NHS and private dental care and treatment for adults and children.
There was step-free access to the practice.
The practice had 2 treatment rooms. At the time of our inspection, there was a total of 2 staff present, of which there was a dentist and a dental nurse. We gathered feedback and spoke to both individuals.
