Our view of the service

Date of assessment: 20 August 2025

We carried out this assessment to follow up on the breaches identified at the last inspection and to review if the conditions on the providers registration needed to stay in place.

During our last inspection on 30 July 2024, we rated the provider as requires improvement. Because of the low number of admissions, we did not remove the conditions placed on their registration during the inspection on 27 September 2023. This meant they must not admit any new clients without the prior written agreement of the Care Quality Commission.

During this inspection we noted improvements in some areas. However, we were concerned about the feedback we received from people using the service.

We inspected 8 quality statements across the safe, effective, caring, and well-led key questions, specifically following up on areas of improvement from previous assessments.

We have combined the scores for these areas with scores from the last inspection to give the rating.

During this inspection, we found breaches in the following areas:

The service must ensure it has individualised early or unexpected exit from treatment forms located within client’s files (Regulation 12)

The service must ensure it has a personalised ligature risk assessment and ligature risk management plan in place. (Reg 17)

Nest Healthcare was registered with CQC in December 2017 to deliver the regulated activities: Accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care, Accommodation for persons who require treatment for substance misuse. Treatment of disease, disorder or injury was added to their registration in September 2020.

The service had a Registered Manager at the time of inspection.
