During a routine inspection
The agency had moved premises, and was now operating from the upstairs of a Beauticians, also operated by the provider. The provider was reminded of the need to notify the Care Quality Commission of this change. During this visit we spoke by phone with three people who used the service, we visited one person and their relative in their home, we spoke with the manager and with four care staff.
People using the service told us about the quality of the service they had received. They said they were satisfied with the quality of care and support provided. They told us they had good relationships with staff and described them as kind, caring, helpful, flexible and respectful.
One person told us the staff knew them well and they knew what to do to support them. They said, "The staff are very good. They always preserve my dignity and they always check with me that everything is okay before they leave'.
All people we spoke with told us that staff provided care and support in a safe manner. People knew who to talk to if they had any concerns. They were confident any concerns would be dealt with appropriately.
We highlighted one area where the provider was not compliant, this was in relation to ensuring staff were properly trained, supervised and appraised.
