Accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care

  • Mr Antony Hall is responsible for these services.
  • Mrs Nicola Jane Berry is the registered manager for these services at this location.
Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity

The registered provider must ensure provider policies and staff practices reflect current guidance from Public Health England in relation to all service users having COVID19 individual risk assessments. The registered provider must address this within ten days of this notice coming into effect.

The registered provider must ensure within 10 days of this condition coming into effect that effective plans to are in place to safely manage known cases of COVID19 at Capwell Grange Addington way, Luton, Bedfordshire LU4 9GR. These plans must give consideration to the latest published guidance from Public Health England and the Department for Health and Social Care.

The registered provider must ensure within 10 days from the date at which this condition comes into effect, that all staff involved in the provision of care (both directly and indirectly) at Capwell Grange have received effective training in safeguarding, to include recognising all the signs of abuse, to know how to report allegations of abuse internally and to external agencies.

The registered provider must ensure that any service user who has a wound, injury or is at risk of a deterioration in the skin integrity has a robust assessment and clear plan of care in place that is followed by care staff that adequately mitigates this risk.

The registered provider must address within 10 days of this condition coming into effect, staff’s understanding and practice in relation to privacy and dignity of service users ensures these rights are promoted and upheld at all times at Capwell Grange Addington way, Luton, Bedfordshire LU4 9GR

The registered provider must address within 10 days of this condition coming into effect the systems used to oversee the quality of the service provided at Capwell Grange, Addington Way, Luton, Bedfordshire LU4 9GR. To include:

a. The transparent investigation of any event which impacts on the care of service users and take forward the lessons learnt from these events.

b. The plans to address the environment to ensure that effective infection control measures can be undertaken with timescales to complete any refurbishment and maintenance.

c. The plans to provide oversight at senior management level external to the location to oversee the delivery of the improvements required.

The provider must send us an action plan on the first Monday of each month once this notice has come into effect. The action plan must show what actions are being taken to address and resolve all conditions identified on this notice. The action plan must include the following:

a. What actions will be taken to resolve each condition.

b. Identify which staff will be responsible for each action.

c. Identify the time scales for completion for each action.

d. A succinct summary of how these actions will be reviewed to check they are resolved.

e. A succinct summary of how you have checked these conditions are resolved.

Terms of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity

The registered provider must only accommodate a maximum of 146 service users at Capwell Grange Care Home.
