Kindness, compassion and dignity
Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice.
Patient comments included that staff were welcoming and attentive, acted with integrity, and showed compassion.
Patients said staff were professional, courteous, and considerate.
Patients felt they were treated as individuals, and their personal and cultural needs were respected.
Staff told us it was the practice’s goal to provide a 5-star service to every patient and prioritise their wellbeing, and this was reflected in our inspection findings.
We were provided with a patient survey. Patients described the practice as “high quality, reliable and caring”. The majority of patients were long-standing patients, and 95% of new patient referrals were from recommendations from existing patients.
People received care from staff who were aware of their responsibility to respect people’s diversity and human rights, and of the importance of privacy and confidentiality.
Staff felt respected, valued and supported in their roles, and their wellbeing was supported. One staff member told us, “This is my safe space, alongside my home. I admire the clinicians’ passion, skills and ethics towards the provision of oral health care. I am proud of being a part of a team of dental nurses who are supportive and proactive in helping each other.”
Staff wellbeing was a priority for the managers at the practice. The practice manager organised well-being weeks, where staff were gifted presents to help with stress and their mental health, such as motivational stress toys, herbal teas and hand creams. Staff had access to a wellbeing support folder and a weekly menopause newsletter.
