People and their relatives played a meaningful role in shaping the service. Regular meetings were well attended, and everyone who joined felt heard and included in decisions that led to service improvements.

For those with limited communication, staff made thoughtful adjustments to ensure their voices were understood. One staff member used a translation app, while another was able to speak a person’s first language, helping build trust and clarity in daily interactions.

People also had access to advocacy support and community groups and were well supported by wider health and social care systems, ensuring their needs were met holistically and respectfully.
