During an inspection in response to concerns

We were unable to speak to people who used the service because we did not visit the tenancies and their feedback would not have related to this outcome. Instead we gathered evidence, talked to the managers, staff and reviewed records. We found the arrangements in place plus steps taken to identify the possibility of abuse and prevent abuse from happening were not sufficient to protect people fully.

During a routine inspection

We spoke with eight people who used the service. Some people were not able to give us a lot of detail, but overall they said they were 'very happy' or 'alright.' We saw records that showed people who used the agency were involved in developing their own care plans and where people were unable to be involved, other key people in their lives had been consulted. People told us that staff knew them well and how best to support them.

We looked at people's care records. We saw how the agency included people in decision making throughout their treatment and support. They also worked with people, at their own pace, to make sure they knew what support was needed and how best they could meet that need.

We looked at staff records and found staff were well trained. We also saw there were good systems in place to ensure they were well supported in their work. Staff talked positively about their work and told us they were proud of the work they did.
