During a routine inspection

People received support they agreed to. We spoke with three people who used the service and one relative. They told us they could make decisions about their care and support. One person said, 'I have been using this service for almost two years, my support worker has given me so much confidence that I'm able to speak with you without being afraid.' 'I feel well supported in achieving my goals.'

People we spoke with said they were happy with the support they received. Everyone was complimentary about the staff who supported them and told us they were well supported. One person said, 'I wouldn't change my support worker for the world. I look forward to our meetings, they are so helpful.' Another person said, 'They are very good at their job.'

We were told by people who used the service staff included and respected their wishes, and people confirmed they were asked for their opinion at all times.

People who used the service were supported by suitably skilled and experienced staff.

People we spoke with told us they would tell their support worker if they were worried about anything. One person told us, "If I have a complaint I know Platform would do something about it."

During a routine inspection

We were not able to speak with people who used the service because no one attended the project during our visit. We gathered evidence of people's experiences of the service by reviewing the results of the satisfaction surveys.

Feedback from people's surveys said they were, "Very happy with the service.' 'The staff were friendly and helpful" and 'I liked the amount of information given." We saw care plans were detailed and included different options where these were appropriate and this enabled people to make an informed choice.

Staff confirmed that they had attended safeguarding training. They were aware of the policies and procedures in place to guide them on how to report and recognise abuse.
