Updated 18 November 2025

Date of Assessment: 30 November 2025 to 23 December 2025. This assessment was completed to check the quality of the service people receive from The Black Country Management Company. The domiciliary care service provides support to older people, younger adults, people with a learning disability and those living with a sensory impairment physical disability and dementia. At the time of our assessment there were 29 people in receipt of a regulated activity. We assessed the service against ‘Right support, right care, right culture’. This guidance supported judgements about whether the provider guaranteed people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choice, independence and access to local communities that most people take for granted.

People had their needs assessed and plans were in place to manage risks to their safety. Where incidents occurred, these were reported to the appropriate body for investigation. Medicines were administered safely. Staff supported people safely, managing risks in their environment and following infection prevention control procedures. Staff were recruited safely and had an induction and training for their role. People were supported to maintain their independence and staff worked with other agencies where needed to ensure people had effective support to maintain their health and wellbeing. People could make choices about their care and support and received person-centred care which met their needs and preferences. People were supported to make decisions for themselves, and staff understood the mental capacity act and how to apply this. The registered manager had systems in place to support staff and monitor peoples care delivery. The provider worked with other agencies to provide support to people and used feedback from people and their relatives to make improvements to the service.
