All Inspections

During a routine inspection

Prior to our visit we reviewed all the information we had received from the provider. During the visit we spoke with two people who used the service and one relative and asked them for their views. We also spoke with two support workers (known as personal assistants) and the registered manager. We looked at some of the records held in the service including the support plans for three people.

A person who used the service told us, 'They are very good. I decide what I am doing and they help me to do it." A relative told us the support plans were written in a way so their relation could understand and follow them. A person who used the service told us, 'I have a support plan. There is not a lot in it because I didn't want it to have a lot of information about me. Only what is needed.' The person added they had fun when with the personal assistants.

A person who used the service told us they felt safe when they were with a personal assistant. A relative told us they had every confidence in the project and everyone who worked there. They said, "I trust them completely with supporting my relative and also, me.'

During a routine inspection

Prior to our visit we reviewed all the information we had received from the provider. During the visit we spoke with two people who used the service and one relative and asked them for their views. We also spoke with four support workers (known as personal assistants) and one of the project directors. We looked at some of the records held in the service including the support files for three people.

A person who used the service told us, 'I have a rota in my flat of when people are coming. I ask them (personal assistants) if anything is difficult.' A relative told us the support plans were written in a way so their relation could understand and follow them.

A person who used the service told us, 'I always have the help I want and what I need. They (personal assistants) help me do my cleaning, if I have any problems it gets sorted out.' The person added they had fun when with the personal assistants.

We observed one person who used the service being supported by a personal assistant with some work at the project they had been employed to do. The personal assistant supported the person to carry out the work at their own pace.

A person who used the service told us they felt safe when they were with the personal assistants. A relative told us they had every confidence in the project and everyone who worked there. They said, 'I have got every confidence in the staff and know {name} is safe with them.'
