All Inspections

During a routine inspection

People received care and support they agreed to. We spoke with three people who used the service and three relatives. They told us they could make decisions about their care and support. One person said, 'They never leave before asking if there is anything else I want.' A relative said, 'They contact us if there are any issues. Communication is good and we have peace of mind.'

People we spoke with said they were happy with the care and support they received. Everyone was complimentary about the staff who supported them and told us they were well looked after. One person said, 'I wouldn't change my carers for the world. I look forward to them coming. They are so helpful, so kind and stop me getting lonely.' Another person said, 'They are very nice and do a very good job.'

Appropriate arrangements were in place for managing medicines. Staff had completed medication training which equipped them with the knowledge and skills to administer medicines safely.

People who used the service were supported by suitably skilled and experienced staff.

The provider had an effective system to regularly assess and monitor the quality of the service that people received.

During a routine inspection

People experienced care and support that met their needs and protected their rights. We visited one person who used the service at their home when their care worker was visiting. They said, “I’m well looked after. I know all the staff that come and they all turn up on time.” From observations it was clear that the member of staff knew the person well, centred the support on the person and considered their individual circumstances.

People’s privacy, dignity and independence were respected. People’s views and experiences were taken into account in the way the service was provided and delivered in relation to their care. People we spoke with were complimentary about the staff team. One person who used the service said, “The staff are nice.” One relative said, “The staff are very kind, very respectful.” Another relative said, “The team are brilliant. They go over and above the call of duty. I’ve been really impressed.”

People who used the service were protected from the risk of abuse, because the provider had taken reasonable steps to identify the possibility of abuse and prevent abuse from happening.

The provider supported staff to deliver care to an appropriate standard. Staff we spoke with told us everyone worked well together and they felt well supported.

Appropriate systems were in place to make sure people were listened to, and staff were confident the management team would deal with any concerns or comments promptly and take action where necessary.
