During an assessment under our new approach
We carried out this announced on-site inspection on 4 June 2025.
We found the practice had met regulations.
The practice had effective systems to identify and manage most risks.
Infection control procedures in place were effective.
Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation and there was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement.
Patients’ care and treatment was provided in line with current guidance.
Patients were treated with dignity and respect and at the time of our inspection, could access care, support and treatment when required.
Redbourn Dental Practice is in Redbourn, Hertfordshire and provides predominantly private and some NHS dental care and treatment for adults and children.
There were 2 steps into the practice, and patients who were wheelchair users or had pushchairs could use a side entrance to access the practice. Car parking was available nearby.
The practice had 4 treatment rooms.At the time of our inspection, there was a total of 11 staff, of which there were the principal dentist, 3 associate dentists, 2 dental nurses, 2 trainee dental nurses, 1 dental hygienist, 1 receptionist and the practice manager. We gathered feedback from staff and spoke to a range of staff during our inspection, including the principal dentist, 1 associate dentist, 2 dental nurses, 1 receptionist and the practice manager.
The service provides cosmetic treatments, some of which are not in scope of CQC regulation and are not covered in our inspection.
