During a routine inspection

During this inspection we spoke with two people who used the service. They were both satisfied with the service they received from Ambassador HomeCare Limited. One person told us, 'I'm very, very happy. They really put themselves out for you. I have no complaints. I couldn't get better care from anywhere else.'

Another person we spoke with said, 'It's a super service, I can't think of any way they could improve. You are treated like a person not just a number.'

We also spoke with two relatives of people who received the service. One relative told us, 'My husband looks forward to them coming. The girls were absolutely brilliant on the night my husband went into hospital. I have nothing whatsoever to complain about.'

Another relative said, 'We are very happy with them. They are polite and trustworthy. You could trust them with the crown jewels. We have always found them to be very helpful.'

We looked at copies of people's care plans and saw people's needs had been assessed and their care needs and personal preferences had been recorded in a lot of detail. The people we spoke with confirmed they had agreed their care plan.

We spoke with two staff who worked for the agency. One person said, 'It's a very good company to work for. This is the only company I have worked for where you get job satisfaction.' We saw staff were supported in their role and had attended regular training in order to keep their knowledge up to date.

During a routine inspection

We spoke with three people, and each person told us they were treated with dignity and respect by the care workers.

One relative we spoke with told us they (the care workers) always cover my relative up when they provide personal care. They close the doors and curtains so no one can see into the room.

Everyone told us they were very happy with the care provided.

People told us they were contacted if the care worker was going to be late or delayed People also said that the call times were within the planned time period

People we spoke with told us they felt safe with the care workers that cared for them, and staff knew what they were doing because they were well trained One relative said,' I can go out knowing my relative is in safe hands.'

We were told the manager was very approachable and people felt confident to raise any concerns if needed.
