During an inspection in response to concerns

The people using the service spoke positively about the care staff who visited them. They described them as 'Brilliant', 'Fantastic' and 'Like good friends' to describe them. They also thought the care staff were well trained and good with maintaining their dignity and privacy. Some people were unhappy about missed or very late visits that had affected their daily lives and their standard of care. They also commented that communication from office based staff was not always reliable.

During an inspection in response to concerns

The people with whom we spoke were positive about the care and service they received from Home Choice Care. They all confirmed they had been involved in the assessment process and their care needs had been discussed with them. They had also been involved in decisions on how they wanted their care provided. Those who were receiving assistance with personal care confirmed that staff ensured their privacy and dignity was upheld and that they wore protective gloves and aprons. Positive comments received included 'Very good,' Reliable,' 'Good Staff,' 'Well trained' and 'A very good service.'

People with whom we spoke did not raise any concerns about the care they received from the staff. They were positive about the staff working for the agency and these comments have been reflected throughout the report. People knew who to speak to if they were unhappy.
