During a routine inspection

People we spoke with were positive about the service offered by Amber Case Management. We were told; 'I don't know what we would have done without them', 'The support is amazing', 'The difference in my relative is wonderful' and 'We've got our lives back'.

The manager actively involved people in planning and agreeing their care and support. Suitable arrangements were in place to ensure people's rights were upheld.

People's care records clearly identified their individual needs and wishes so that they received the level of support they required.

The provider worked collaboratively with other agencies so that people's social, emotional and physical needs were effectively met.

The provider continues to monitor and review the service provided ensuring she is aware of current good practice guidance and legislation. This ensures people receive a safe and effective service.

Clear systems were in place with regards to the reporting and responding to any complaints and concerns.

During a routine inspection

At present the service supports one person, providing them with support and guidance in their own home. As part of our inspection we spoke with this person about the care and support they received. What they told us was very positive about their experiences and how the service had helped them to improve the quality of their life and that of their family.

They told us; 'They are passionate and professional', 'They've offered consistency for me and my family', 'They go above and beyond' and 'They run it really well'.

They said that, 'Choices have never been taken away from me and they never make decisions for me'. We were told that the person had been involved in the recruitment of support staff and in the development and reviewing of their support plans. We were told the service offered 'The personal touch'.

Through our discussion with the provider and on examination of records, we found clear systems were in place in relation to the management and conduct of the service.
