During an assessment under our new approach
Date of assessment: 18 May to 2 June 2026. Respectful Care Nottingham South is a homecare service providing care and support to people in their own homes. They provide a service to adults of all ages and people who are living with dementia, mental health conditions, physical disabilities or sensory impairments. At the time of our assessment 147 people were receiving the regulated activity of personal care. This was an offsite assessment; this meant we requested all records to be sent to us electronically and reviewed them offsite. We announced the assessment 72 hours before to ensure there would be someone available at the office to support the assessment and send all the requested information.
The service delivered an exceptionally high standard of care that was consistently compassionate, and well-coordinated, resulting in person-centred care where staff went above and beyond for people. Leadership was exemplary, with a highly experienced and knowledgeable management team who provided strong, visible direction and fostered a culture of continuous improvement and excellence. Governance systems were robust, embedded, and used proactively to drive quality, sustain high standards, and achieve positive outcomes.
The service was clearly values-driven, with an embedded culture of inclusivity, respect, and dignity evident across all aspects of care. Support was highly effective, personalised, and responsive. It was underpinned by evidence-based practice that promoted people’s wellbeing, independence, and quality of life. People were supported by a dedicated team who knew them exceptionally well. Staff at all levels demonstrated outstanding skills, knowledge, and commitment. All staff at all levels were kind, caring, and went above and beyond to ensure people felt valued, respected, and fully supported. Feedback from people, relatives, and professionals was overwhelmingly positive, consistently highlighted the exceptional quality of care provided. Relationships were strong and meaningful, with a clear and unwavering focus on recognising and supporting each person as an individual. Meaningful activities and parties were arranged by the management team to ensure people were not isolated, bringing people together and ensuring people continued to be part of the community.
