During a routine inspection

We used a number of different methods to help us understand the experiences of the people using the service because they had complex needs, which meant that they were unable to tell us their experiences.

There were two people receiving personal support from C.A.Y.P.S at the time of the inspection. We spoke with a relative of one of the people who used the service, one care worker and the manager.

We looked at the care planning system and found that the records showed the care and support people wanted and needed.

We looked at the medication policies and procedures. We found that appropriate systems were in place and that staff had attended training.

We looked at recruitment procedures. Relevant checks and training was completed before new employees provided support.

A complaints procedure was in place. Relatives were aware of this and told us they did not have any complaints at the time of the inspection

We used a number of different methods to help us understand the experiences of the person using the service because they had complex needs, which meant that they were not able to tell us their experience.

We examined the services offered by the agency by talking to a relative of the person who received them. We spoke with the staff who provided the care and we reviewed the documentation used by the agency.

The relative told us that the agency offered appropriate support and care.
