The service did not manage medicines well, and not all staff demonstrated the skills or knowledge
needed for safe medicines management. Medicines were not always stored safely. Although individual
care was safe, there was no effective clinical oversight of medicines use within the clinic and there was
no evidence of antimicrobial stewardship principles being implemented. The service generally had a
good learning culture and people could raise concerns. Managers investigated incidents. The facilities
and equipment were visibly clean and well maintained. Managers made sure staff received training to
maintain safe care and treatment.
