Date of assessment 12 March 2025 to 26 March 2025. Winslow is a nursing home and accommodates up to six people with a learning disability and/or autistic people. Some of whom have additional needs relating to their mental health. People had their own individual apartments and received high levels of staff support. On the day of our inspection, six people were living at the service. Winslow was last rated requires improvement (published 19 October 2021). The report was published following the Care Quality Commission’s (CQC) previous inspection approach using Key Lines of Enquiry (KLOEs), prompts and ratings characteristics. This assessment has been completed following the CQC’s new approach to assessment; Single Assessment Framework (SAF). This was an unannounced assessment, which means the provider was not told an assessment was going to be starting beforehand. We have identified continued breaches in relation to safe care and treatment, and good governance. Health and safety actions continued to be outstanding such as fire risk assessment action and legionella risk assessment actions. We have taken action and asked the provider to make improvements. In instances where CQC have decided to take civil or criminal enforcement action against a provider, we will publish this information on our website after any representations and/or appeals have been concluded.
