Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity

The registered provider must not take on any new care packages without the prior

written agreement of the Care Quality Commission. This includes accepting any

increases to existing care packages for service users.

The registered provider must undertake a full review of all service users care

packages by 1pm on 06 November 2019. Where the registered provider identifies any shortfalls in provision of care, it must support staff to obtain appropriate further training and qualifications that will enable them to meet service users� needs. The registered provider must provide a report of this review to the Commission by 07 November 2019.

In the event that the registered provider is of the view that it cannot meet the care

needs of certain service users following the review in condition 2, it must notify the

commissioner of those service users by 06 November 2019. In addition, the

provider must inform all service users who are self-funding of the risks and

conditions identified in this notice and confirm to the Commission that this has

been done by 04 November 2019.

Terms of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity

The registered provider must undertake an audit of all service users care

packages and ensure that care plans and risk assessments relating to the health,

safety and welfare of the service users are carried out and accurately recorded

and up to date by 06 November 2019.

The registered provider must ensure that staff do not provide personal care to any

service user unless they have documentary evidence of a valid and up to date

DBS and verified references. The registered provider must provide confirmation

of this to the Commission by 04 November 2019.

The registered provider must undertake a review of its recruitment records for its

current members of staff and ensure that the record for each staff member

includes all previous employment and any gaps in that employment, all staff

employment references, DBS and criminal history checks. The registered provider

must provide documentary evidence of this to the Commission by 08 November

2019.

The registered provider must ensure that all staff supporting service users with

manual handling and medication administration have received sufficiently detailed

training and competency assessments which include both knowledge and

practice, to ensure that the training they have received is robust and effective.

Competency assessments of staff must be undertaken by a suitably trained

person. The registered provider must provide confirmation of this to the

Commission by 08 November 2019. Staff must not complete medication

administration or moving and handling duties until successful completion of

sufficient training and competency assessments.
