Our current view of the service

Good

Updated 3 August 2026

Date of assessment: 4 August 2026 Worplesdon View is a care home that provides accommodation and nursing care for up to 78 some of whom had health conditions and others who may be living with dementia. Consideration had been given to people’s rights, including their privacy. Staff had carried out capacity assessments and best interest decisions in relation to potential restrictions, such as sensor mats and locked doors. The service was clean and well maintained and staff followed good infection control practices. However, the service did not hold a readily available list for the emergency services to use should people need to be evacuated. However, other aspects of the service were good. The registered manager had effective oversight and they had created a good working culture. The provider cared about their staff and promoted their wellbeing through various initiatives which helped staff feel valued, listened to and supported in their roles. This was confirmed by staff. Governance arrangements were in place to regularly check the quality of service being provided to people and the registered manager and staff learned from accidents and incidents and were continually looking at other ways in which to improve care. Staff had developed well written, comprehensive care plans for people which were regularly reviewed and the service offered consistency within the staff team so staff got to know people very well. The registered manager worked well with external health care professionals and had links to clubs and activities for people within the local area. They were in the process of introducing new initiatives to the service to support those who lived there as well as their family members.
