Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity

The Registered Provider will, within 14 days of this condition taking effect, devise and implement an effective system to ensure that all care plans are up to date to reflect each service users current, and specific care needs including details of areas of risk and measures that will be put in place to guide staff on how to support and mitigate any such risks to service users.

The Registered Provider will, within 14 days of this condition taking effect, devise and implement an effective system to ensure that each service user who may lack capacity to make specific decisions, has an assessment completed in line with the requirements of the Mental Capacity Act Code of Practice. A clear record of the assessment and ‘Best Interest’ decision-making process followed will be reflected in the service users’ care records. This should be implemented for each decision to be made and be individual to each service user.

The Registered Provider will, within 14 days of this condition taking effect, provide the Care Quality Commission a written report with details of its progress following the implementation of the revised governance systems to ensure that all records relating to care needs, risk assessing and mental capacity are reviewed and up to date. The written report will also include details of the quality assurance systems for monitoring the quality of care provided going forward.

Following this 14 days, a written report should be sent on the first Monday of each month to the Care Quality Commission detailing the findings from the implementation of quality assurance systems and any actions arising from this monitoring.

Terms of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity

The registered provider must not provide nursing care under accommodation for persons who require personal or nursing care at Ashleigh Court Rest Home.

The registered provider must only accommodate a maximum of 22 service users at Ashleigh Court Rest Home.
