Updated 23 March 2026
Date of assessment: 27 April to 6 May 2026.
We undertook this responsive inspection, which was triggered by our ongoing monitoring; because the service had not yet been rated, we assessed all 33 quality statements. The service is a care home with nursing, supporting up to56 older and younger people who may be living with dementia, a physical disability or a mental health diagnosis.
The service is a dual-registered location. This means 2 registered providers are responsible for the service at this home. The 2 registered providers Olympus Opco LTD which registered on 04 February 2025, and Care UK Care Services Limited which registered on 29 January 2026 are both equally responsible for the delivery of all services at this home.
The home was well-led by an experienced registered manager, who had been in post for a period of time, which provided continuity for people and staff. They have supported the staff team through the transition to the 2 new providers. They created a positive person-centred, open and transparent culture within the home. They worked openly and collaboratively with external partners to ensure people were safeguarded and to ensure learning took place from any incidents or concerns raised.
There was a stable, skilled and diverse staff team who enjoyed their work with people, they cared about people and their well-being. Staff were well supported in their work, through their induction, training and regular supervisions.
The provision of people’s care was based on national guidance and the use of clinical tools to assess and mitigate potential risks to people. Where there were any restrictions upon people’s freedoms for their safety, legal requirements had been met.
The home was not purpose built, but modifications had been made, to ensure people had equal access. A programme of redecoration and refurbishment was underway.
