During a routine inspection

We were unable to speak directly to people who use the service as there was no one available to talk to during our inspection. However, we looked at eight recently completed feedback questionnaires. All respondents rated the overall quality of care they had received as "good" or "excellent". Most would recommend the service to others and felt that they had been given sufficient information by their consultant. People's comments and complaints were listened to. There was a complaints policy in place and we saw that complaints were investigated and responded to appropriately.

Care and treatment was planned and delivered in a way to ensure people's safety and welfare by appropriately trained staff. People were required to undergo a pre-operative assessment to ensure they were fit for surgical procedures and input was sought from their GP. Surgical procedures were undertaken at a private London hospital. People's consent was obtained before procedures were carried out and all associated risks were explained.

People were cared for by staff that received appropriate professional development. They received regular mandatory training and further training that was specific to their role.

During a routine inspection

On this occasion we did not speak to people about the service. We did review completed patient satisfaction questionnaires that confirmed that people found staff to be helpful and welcoming and they felt they were treated with respect.They felt they were given enough information to make decisions about their care.
