Personal care

Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity

The Registered Provider must not provide personal care to any new service user, any current service user who requires personal care following a hospital admission and must not agree to increase the level of personal care being provided to current service users by more than 3 hours, without the prior written agreement of the Commission.

The provider must conduct formal audits on the risks identified in this report. These must cover; medicine management, care plan and risk assessments, incident management, staff training and staff recruitment. The registered provider must send to the Commission a written account of a quality assessment audit for these areas, which must identify: The improvements required, The reason why improvements are required and how planned improvements will be implemented, monitored and measured, including the person responsible for bringing about improvements and the timescale.

After completing the required audits. The provider must complete a written action plan. This must identify; the improvements required, the reason why improvements are required and how planned improvements will be implemented, monitored and measured. This includes the person responsible for bringing about improvements and the timescale.

The registered provider must send to the Commission an updated action plan on the first Monday of each month. The action plan must detail where you are in breach of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014 as specified in this notice, the improvements made in response and the impact those improvements had on the quality and safety of the service people receive. This will include any proposed revision of the action plan.
