During a routine inspection

We spoke with patients when we visited the practice. Some of them had been receiving their dental care from the practice for many years. Patients told us they were involved in making decisions about treatment plans, were given explanations about any options available, and were informed of costs involved. Patients said they 'trusted' the dentist and had a good dental experience. Patients that were parents said that the approach by the dentist, the dental nurse and the reception staff ensured that their children were not worried about attending for check-ups.

Cleanliness and infection control procedures were good and staff training was supported. There were some measures in place to ensure that people's views and opinions were captured but this was on an informal basis.
