Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity
The registered provider must provide the Care Quality Commission (the Commission) within 28 days from the date of condition coming into effect, written confirmation of a system in place at Goldcrest,183 Dorchester Road, Weymouth, Dorset DT4 7LF to assess service user’s care and treatment needs and to create person-centred care plans with service users and/or their representative (if the service user lacks capacity). The system must ensure reasonable adjustments have been made to ensure the service user’s care needs are met. The system should ensure the determined care and treatment is suitable and reflects the service user’s specific needs and preferences and is documented in the service user’s personalised care record.
The registered provider must within 28 days of this condition taking effect, devise and implement an effective system to ensure that all areas detailed below are reviewed, audited and analysed routinely. The system should show any learning and the audit process must ensure any risks identified have been assessed and mitigated. a. Accidents, incidents and safeguarding b. Care plans and care records c. Capacity and decision making d. Medicine administration and management e. Staff recruitment files
The registered provider must submit a report to the Care Quality Commission within 60 days of these conditions taking effect. This report must set out any actions to be taken at Goldcrest,183 Dorchester Road, Weymouth, Dorset DT4 7LF, as a result of the analysis and audits and thereafter must send this report to the Care Quality Commission on the first Monday of each month. This report must specify timescales for action to be taken and highlight who is responsible to ensure the required improvements are made.
The registered provider must not admit any service user to Goldcrest without the prior written agreement of the Care Quality Commission.
Terms of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity
The Registered Provider must not provide nursing care under accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care at Goldcrest.
The Registered Provider must only accommodate a maximum of 26 service users at Goldcrest.
