During an assessment under our new approach

We carried out this announced on-site inspection on 14 October 2026.

We found the practice had met regulations.

The practice had effective systems to identify and manage risks, including infection prevention and control.

Staff had the skills, knowledge and experience to carry out their roles.

Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation and there was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement.

Staff provided care and treatment in line with current guidance. They treated patients with dignity and respect and ensured access to care, support, and treatment when required.

Bhandal Dental Practice - 119 Golden Cross Lane is part of Bhandal Dental Group, a dental group provider. The practice is in Worcestershire and provides NHS and private dental care and treatment for adults and children.

There was step-free access to the practice and car parking spaces available, including dedicated parking for disabled people, near the practice.

The practice had 5 treatment rooms. At the time of our inspection, there was a total of 18 staff, of which there were 4 dentists, 1 orthodontist, 5 dental nurses, 2 dental hygienists, 1 dental therapist, 1 orthodontic therapist, 3 receptionists and the practice manager. We gathered feedback from and spoke to a range of staff during our inspection.

During a routine inspection

During the inspection we spoke with two dentists, three dental nurses and the practice manager. We also spoke with one person who was attending the practice to see one of the dentists. After the inspection we spoke by telephone with five people who had used the practice to ask them about their experiences of the service.

The people we spoke with were complimentary about the service they had received. One person told us that they had: 'No negative comments at all, if I had I would tell you. I think they are an excellent service'. Another person said that the service was: 'Brilliant'.

Systems were in place to ensure that the practice was clean and that instruments were sterilised. This was to make sure that people were not placed at risk of cross infection.

Staff received a range of training so that they were able to update their skills and knowledge.

There were systems in place that made sure people who used the practice were asked for their views about the service they received. This was so that the provider could use this information to make any necessary improvements. Audit systems were in place which made sure that people were not placed at risk of receiving inappropriate care and treatment.
