We carried out this announced inspection on 29 July 2025.
We found the practice had met regulations.
Staff provided care and treatment in line with current guidance. They treated patients with dignity and respect and ensured access to care, support, and treatment when required.
The practice had effective systems to identify and manage risks, including infection prevention and control.
Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation and there was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement. Staff had the skills, knowledge and experience to carry out their roles.
Arthur Road Dental Practice is in Wimbledon in the London Borough of Merton. The practice provides private dental care and treatment for adults and children.
The practice was not accessible to all patients. Patients who could not manage the stairs were directed to an alternative dental practice. There were car parking spaces available near the practice.
The practice had 4 treatment rooms. At the time of our inspection, there was a total of 19 staff, of which there were 4 dentists, 3 dental nurses, 3 dental hygienists, 3 receptionists and 2 practice managers. In addition, the practice had an endodontist, an orthodontist, a periodontist and an oral surgeon who worked only when required.
