At our last assessment we rated this key question good. At this assessment the rating has changed to requires improvement. The service was in breach of Regulation 17 – Good governance.

Systems and processes to monitor the quality and safety of the service were not consistently effective. Shortfalls identified during the inspection had not been identified via the provider’s own quality assurance processes.

Care plans were generic and not person-centred.

Care records were not sufficiently detailed.

However:

Staff spoke positively about the registered manager and felt they were approachable.
