During an inspection looking at part of the service

We had not spoken to anyone who used the service on this visit, because we were checking Compliance which did not require information from people who used the service.

There were no clients booked at the service on the day of our visit. The service was in the process of being deep cleaned.

During a routine inspection

People who used the service told us that they were provided with good information about the treatments and the cost of the different treatments. They told us that they found the web site very helpful and informative as well as the written information provided. They said that staff were always polite and helpful.

People said they were very happy with their treatment. They told us the Dentist spoke to them directly. They said the Dentist listened to what they had to say about their treatment. They told us the Dentist made sure they understood their treatment and choice by giving information in a way they could understand.

People said their first visit was more of a consultation and examination visit where no treatment was carried out. The Dentist spent time discussing their dental health care needs and gave them options to consider before making any decisions. Some people said they had a full and thorough discussion regarding their medical and dental health and they had x-rays taken. People said a range of treatment was discussed with them, but they made the choice of treatment they wanted.

People told us they were required to complete a medical questionnaire prior to commencement of treatment. They told us the Dentist asked questions about their medical health at each visit.

People told us they were very confident in the abilities of the staff at the surgery.

People told us the surgery was always clean and tidy on their visits. People told us they were provided with protective material such as aprons, glasses before treatment commenced. They said the dentist and nurse always wore gloves and masks and sometimes protective eye wear when undertaking their dental health care.
