Caring
We looked for evidence the service involved people and treated them with compassion, kindness, dignity and respect. At our last assessment, we rated this key question as Outstanding. At this assessment, the rating remains the same.
This service scored 95 (out of 100) for this area. Find out what we look at when we assess this area and How we calculate these scores.
Kindness, compassion and dignity
The service was exceptional at treating people with kindness, empathy and compassion and in how they respected people’s privacy and dignity. Staff always treated colleagues from other organisations with kindness and respect.
The service performed better than the national average in the results of the 2025 National GP Patient Survey. This showed people felt listened to and felt they were treated with kindness. For example, the percentage of respondents to the GP Patient Survey who stated that during their last appointment, the healthcare professional was very good or fairly good at listening to them was 93% compared with the national average of 87%.
The practice nurtured a proactive patient-centred culture amongst staff and leaders and this was demonstrated in the satisfaction reported by patients.
Feedback from people who used the service was overwhelmingly positive, including people we spoke with during our visit and those who submitted feedback online. 100 patients submitted positive feedback. One patient stated, “They always listen and have never made me feel like I’m just another patient in a sea of patients. They work tirelessly to make sure our individual needs are supported. They are knowledgeable and explain things in a way that helps me to understand what is wrong and what is needed going forward.” Others said, “My GP listens with conviction to my concerns and then goes onto to discuss all available treatment options” and, “Lovely friendly practice which is very caring and compassionate with patients as well as being efficient.”
Friends and Family Test data showed that on average between January and March 2026, 96% of patients would recommend the practice to friends and family.
