During a routine inspection

We spoke with five people who used the service, all told us that they felt very happy with regard to their respective experiences.

People we spoke with told us treatment options were discussed with them and that they felt fully supported when deciding which option to choose.

We saw that regular reviews of people's care and support plans described their progress towards their goals. We saw staff listened to people's input about their care needs and their wishes. We saw that the care plans were person centred and reflected people's individual needs.

We saw people had given their consent to the care and treatment they received. People we spoke with told us they agreed to the care they received.

People who we spoke with stated that they felt safe using the service. People and staff were aware of safeguarding and knew where to find appropriate telephone numbers if they wanted to escalate any concern.

Staff that we spoke with all confirmed that the provider actively encouraged them to develop their professional skills and provided support in all areas of their work.

We found the service was well led and had systems in place to monitor the quality of service being provided.

During a routine inspection

People who use the service understood the care and treatment choices available to them. We spoke to five people who used the service. They all told us that they had received excellent information about their future options.

People's needs were assessed and care and treatment was planned and delivered in line with their individual care plan. People told us that staff worked closely with them to help them address their alcohol and drug use.

People told us they felt safe and support by competent staff. They said they were confident in raising concerns if they had them.

During a routine inspection

South Westminster Drug and Alcohol Services 21 Wardour Street is a location of the central London integrated drug and alcohol services run by Turning Point. This location is one of three locations in Wardour Street known as the Neighbourhood Centre.

21 Wardour Street is a therapeutic and activity centre for people who continue to use drugs and alcohol but intend to change their behaviour. There are individual and group meeting rooms and offices in the building.
