Our view of the service
Patient transport services was the main area of work undertaken with 61,976 journeys undertaken in the previous 12 months.
UKEMS provided the following activities: treatment of disease, disorder and injury and Transport services, triage and medical advice provided remotely. The service maintains both urgent and non urgent contracts with 2 local NHS ambulance trusts.
People's experience of this service
Due to the nature of the unannounced inspection and the nature of the work, we were unable to speak with any patients directly or observe any patient interactions, but we reviewed all feedback received by the service.
