During an assessment under our new approach

We carried out this announced on-site inspection on 4 February 2026.

We found the practice had met regulations.

The practice had effective systems to identify and manage risks.

Staff had the skills, knowledge and experience to carry out their roles.

Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation and there was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement.

Staff provided care and treatment in line with current guidance. They treated patients with dignity and respect and ensured access to care, support, and treatment when required.

Christopher Dental Care is in Newport Pagnell, Buckinghamshire and provides private dental care and treatment for adults and children.

The practice was not accessible to wheelchair users due to the building restrictions. Patients were signposted to local accessible services if wheelchair access was required.

The practice had 1 treatment room. At the time of our inspection, there was a total of 3 staff, of which there was 1 dentist, 1 dental nurse, and a practice manager/advisor. We gathered feedback and spoke to all staff during our inspection.

During a routine inspection

We spoke with one person who used the service and they told us that they had been using Christopher Dental Care for a number of years and were happy with the service it provided. The person told us that they were given information about their own dental care that met their needs. They also told us that if they required treatment, their treatment options were discussed with them.

We found that people were treated with dignity and respect and were given adequate information about their treatment planning. We found that people were involved in making decisions about the treatment they required. We also found that treatment was delivered in a way that met people's needs. We found that arrangements were in place to deal with medical emergencies.

We found that suitable arrangements were in place to ensure adequate measures were in place in relation to cleanliness and infection control and appropriate checks had been conducted on staff to ensure they were of good character. We found that the provider had suitable arrangements in place to deal with people's complaints.
