During a routine inspection
During and after our visit we spoke with the dentist, practice nurses, the receptionist and four patients who used the service. All the patients we spoke with stated that their needs had been met by appropriate treatment. One person told us that they were very pleased with the way the dentist had treated them. We looked at letters and comment cards that had been completed by patients who used the surgery. An example of comments made were:' Thank you for your skill and comfort' and: 'that chair is my least favourite place, but I trust you when I am sat in it'.
We saw that there were systems in place at this practice to reduce the risk and spread of infection. During our visit we spoke with clinical staff at the practice. They were aware of the safe practices required to meet the essential standards of department of health guidance.
