During a routine inspection
We spoke with three people, read feedback and looked at testimonials on the provider's website. People said that they were satisfied with the care and treatment they had received. People felt that they had been given sufficient information about their care and treatment and one person said that they were 'very happy' with the treatment they received. A detailed medical history was taken from each person and any allergies or medical conditions were recorded and discussed during their appointment.
People were given aftercare advice following treatment, which included the emergency contact number for the surgery or individual dentist. There was emergency equipment available and staff had received basic life support training.
Our previous inspection found that some surfaces in the decontamination room were stained and good infection control practice was not always followed. Our inspection of 21 May found that there were effective systems in place to reduce the risk of infection. The practice manager was able to describe the decontamination process to us and provided evidence to show that some checks were carried out on the equipment used.
