Patient records are all computer based. The service refers patients to other providers when necessary.

How we inspected this service

Prior to the inspection, we reviewed information requested from the provider about the services they were providing. During the inspection, we spoke with the consultant gynaecologist, the practice manager and the chaperone. We reviewed a sample of key policies and procedures, made observations of the environment and infection prevention and control measures.

To get to the heart of patients’ experiences of care and treatment, we always ask the following five questions:

  • Is it safe?
  • Is it effective?
  • Is it caring?
  • Is it responsive to people’s needs?
  • Is it well-led?

These questions therefore formed the framework for the areas we looked at during the inspection
