We undertook a follow-up on-site inspection on 16 May 2025. This was carried out to review the actions taken by the registered provider to improve the quality of care and to assess whether the practice was meeting legal requirements.
We had previously undertaken an announced on-site inspections of Dr Peter Tsakpo on 5 April 2022 and 3 August 2023. We had found the registered provider was not providing well-led care and was in breach of Regulation 17 Good Governance of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014.
During our follow-up inspection, we found the practice had made some improvements, but had not met regulations.
The recruitment policy and procedures reflected current legislation, but these were not followed.
Medicines and prescriptions were not managed in line with current guidance.
The practice had introduced some systems to manage risks in relation to radiation protection, and the review and investigation of incidents.
Infection control procedures followed published guidance.
The practice is in Bradford and provides NHS and private dental care and treatment for adults and children.
There is level access to the practice for people who use wheelchairs and those with pushchairs. Roadside parking is available near the practice.
The practice had 2 treatment rooms.During the inspection we spoke with 1 dentist, 1 dental nurse and 1 dental therapist.
