Our current view of the service

Updated 27 January 2025

We carried out this announced inspection on 24 October 2025.

We found the practice had met regulations.

The practice had effective systems to identify and manage risks, including infection prevention and control.

Staff had the skills, knowledge and experience to carry out their roles.

Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation and there was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement.

Staff provided care and treatment in line with current guidance. They treated patients with dignity and respect and ensured access to care, support, and treatment when required.

The practice is in Winchmore Hill, in the London Borough of Enfield, and provides private dental care and treatment for adults and children.

There was step-free access to the practice and car parking spaces available nearby.

The practice had 1 treatment room. At the time of our inspection, there was a total of 5 staff, of which there were 2 dentists, 1 qualified dental nurse, 1 trainee dental nurse and 1 receptionist. We gathered feedback from staff and spoke to a range of staff during our inspection, including the 2 dentists, 1 dental nurse and the receptionist.

People's experience of the service

Updated 27 January 2025

Two weeks before our inspection, we asked the practice to encourage patients to share their views of the service with us. We received feedback from 13 patients. Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice.

Comments included, “From the moment I arrived, the staff were friendly, professional, and made me feel completely at ease. The dentist took the time to explain each part of my treatment clearly, ensuring I understood everything and felt comfortable throughout.”

Patients commented positively about the standards of cleanliness. One patient said, “The practice itself was very clean, well-organised, and maintained a high standard of hygiene and safety.”

Patients felt able to book appointments within an acceptable timescale for their needs and said they had enough time during their appointment without feeling rushed. One patient told us, “On several occasions when I’ve had what felt like dental emergencies, the receptionist has gone out of her way to fit me in quickly. She’s always calm, reassuring, and proactive. Her kindness has made a real difference during stressful moments.”

Patients told us they were given clear information to help them make an informed choice about their treatment and any associated costs. They were involved in decisions about their care.

Patients said when they were prescribed medicines, sufficient information was given. One patient told us, “[The dentist] is consistently open and informative, taking time to explain what he sees and answering any questions we have. His calm and clear approach makes the experience feel collaborative and reduces the anxiety that can often come with dental visits.”

Patients told us that they were supported to maintain their oral health and were provided with appropriate information and resources. One patient said, “The appointments were thorough and reassuring — including a full examination, a clean, and a detailed conversation about the current state of our dental health.”

The practice shared patient feedback with the team. We were told this was reviewed and where suggestions had been made, appropriate action would be taken.
