Date of inspection: 19 May to 12 June 2026. Bersim Care Ltd Office is a care agency providing personal care to adults of all ages living in their own homes, including those living with dementia and physical disabilities. At the time of the inspection, the provider was supporting 4 people. We completed this inspection of all quality statements across all key questions because the service had not been inspected since it was registered with Care Quality Commission (CQC) in March 2025.
We found records and systems of governance needed to improve. Although no harm had been sustained by anyone using the service, and people expressed satisfaction with the service, key documents such as care plans and medication administration records (MARs) did not always include enough person-centred information to guide staff in providing safe care and treatment to people. Not enough information was included in people’s records to evidence their capacity to consent to important decisions about their care and treatment had been assessed, or how consent would be given. Governance and oversight systems required strengthening, as the provider had not always identified issues or required action to drive improvements, including issues identified during this inspection. The leadership team were incredibly passionate about the service and the caring culture they had embedded.
The provider was in breach of 3 legal regulations relating to consent and people’s capacity, safe care and treatment, and governance and oversight of the service. We have asked the provider for an action plan in response to the concerns found at this inspection.
