During a routine inspection

We spoke with people who had used the service who told us that staff provided "absolutely full explanations", that they had been "given advice", that they could ask "lots of questions" and they got "all the help" they needed. They described staff as "professional", "friendly" and "courteous". All care and treatment took place in private consultation rooms. The service was accessible for people who use wheelchairs.

Before people received any care or treatments relevant details were taken including people's past medical history and whether they had any allergies. These were checked and updated as necessary at each consultation. People we spoke with said they "wouldn't go anywhere else" and said that the service was "fantastic". Staff had been trained in how to handle medical emergencies for which there was a practice policy and procedure in place that staff were aware of.

People we spoke with described the practice as "spotless" and "really clean". On the day of the inspection the practice appeared clean and tidy. There was an appropriate process in place for the decontamination of reusable clinical instruments.

Staff at the service undertook relevant professional training to maintain their professional registrations. They had appropriate annual mandatory training which included how to handle medical emergencies and radiation protection.

The provider had an effective system to regularly assess and monitor the quality of service that people receive.
