During an assessment under our new approach

We carried out this announced on-site inspection on 21 November 2025.

We found the practice had met regulations.

The practice had effective systems to identify and manage risks, including infection prevention and control.

Staff had the skills, knowledge and experience to carry out their roles.

Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation and there was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement.

Staff provided care and treatment in line with current guidance. They treated patients with dignity and respect and ensured access to care, support, and treatment when required.

The practice is in Nantwich, Cheshire and provides private dental care and treatment for adults and children.

There was step-free access to the practice via a portable ramp and car parking spaces, including dedicated parking for disabled people, near the practice. The practice had 2 treatment rooms. The total number of staff was 5. We gathered feedback from staff and spoke to a range of staff during our inspection, including 1 dentist, 3 dental nurses, 1 of which was the practice manager.

We have now been provided with records that show that this equipment has been checked and has passed the required maintenance tests.The provider has now supplied a new employee recruitment policy and future employees will be subject to it.

During a routine inspection

When we inspected Mill Dental practice we were told that around a year ago it had relocated from premises elsewhere in Nantwich. Both the people who used the service and staff commented on the improvement that this had made to the service which was provided for example in terms of cleanliness and access to the building.

We saw that this change of building had provided the opportunity for new fittings, that the practice was very modern, and saw that much of the equipment was new or very recently acquired.

People we spoke to were all positive about the care and treatment they received - 'I like it ' it's the right atmosphere for a dentist.' I'm happy with the treatment provided ' I wouldn't be here otherwise'.
