During a routine inspection

We spoke with two patients and observed one consultation and treatment of a patient. Patients told us that they were very happy with the service provided. They said the practice had been recommended to them by the helpline and that they had been fortunate to register under the NHS. They said that options were always provided by the dentist they were seeing and that they were given the opportunity to have emergency treatment, where possible, the same day. They could not fault the dentist or their team. They told us that they knew how to complain and had read the information leaflets in the reception and waiting area of the practice. They felt that the appointment wasn't rushed and that the dentist took their time to explain everything to them clearly.

Patient's views and experiences were taken into account in the way the service was provided and delivered in relation to their care. They experienced care, treatment and support that met their needs and protected their rights. Patients who used the service were protected from the risk of abuse. There were effective systems in place to reduce the risk and spread of infection, with staff that were supported to deliver care and treatment safely and to an appropriate standard. The provider had an effective system to regularly assess and monitor the quality of service that people received.
