During an inspection looking at part of the service

This was a follow up inspection which focused on areas of concern identified during the last inspection. It was not necessary to speak with people as the issues concerned the policies and procedures within the practice.

We found that the provider had made improvements to the service and implemented appropriate policies and procedures to ensure a clean environment. We found that cleaning schedules were being followed and actions recorded by staff to demonstrate that improvements had been made.

During a routine inspection

We spoke with three people who use the service and they each told us that they were happy with the service they received. People told us that they understood their treatment options and the dentist explained everything in a manner that they could understand.

We found that people were involved with their treatment planning and the dentist acted in accordance with their wishes. We found that appropriate checks had been made on staff and complaints were handled in a satisfactory way. We found that improvements were required in relation to the cleaning arrangements of the practice.
