Our current view of the service

Good

Updated 7 April 2026

Date of Assessment: 21 May to 3 June 2026. We visited the service on 21 May 2026.

The provider was previously in breach of the legal regulations in relation to safe care and treatment, and good governance. This assessment was to follow up on these areas. Therefore, we did not review all the quality statements and where this is the case scores remain unchanged. The provider was previously in breach of the legal regulation of safe care and treatment and good governance. Improvements were found at this assessment and the provider was no longer in breach of the regulations.

At this assessment, the service was rated good overall.

The provider had made improvements to their processes in risk management, safe environments, infection prevention and control and medicines administration. However quality assurance processes did not always identify gaps or where there were inconsistencies in care plans, monitoring, risk assessments and medicines.

The provider worked with the local community, inviting the local community into the home, putting on events for the local community to attend. Training for staff had improved since our last assessment. However, further time was required to ensure improved practices were embedded and formed an on-going part of the providers overall governance processes.

People's experience of the service

Updated 7 April 2026

At this assessment, we observed positive interactions between staff and people, particularly in the afternoon where staff were engaging people with a wide range of different needs to take part in activities. The service had a weekly schedule of activities to interact with and involve people which staff delivered well. Whilst we did not receive any concerns from people or their relatives during our assessment, our assessment found some elements of care did not meet the expected standards.
