Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity

The registered provider must not admit any new service users to Danesford Grange, Kidderminster Road, Bridgnorth, Shropshire, WV15 6QD without the prior written agreement of the Care Quality Commission. This includes any respite users, any readmissions of previous service users, or where service users return to the location following admission to hospital.

The registered provider must ensure that all service users identified as being at risk of choking have an up-to-date, individualised risk assessment in place.
These must:
a. Clearly identify the risk and required control measures
b. Include specific guidance for staff on safe care delivery
c. Reflect current advice from relevant healthcare professionals, including (where applicable) Speech and Language Therapy.

The registered provider must within 7 days provide the Commission with a copy of an audit regarding risk assessments undertaken in relation to service users identified as being at risk of choking, setting out action taken as a result of the audit.

The registered provider must ensure that all service users identified as being at risk of pressure sore development or sore skin have an up-to-date care plan.
These must:
a. Clearly identify the risk and required control measures
b. Include specific guidance for staff on safe care delivery
c. Reflect current advice from relevant healthcare professionals, including (where applicable) Speech and Language Therapy.

The registered provider must undertake effective medication audits including ‘as required’ medicines. These audits must ensure that:
a. An accurate record of the times medicines are administered is kept and that the prescribing details on dispensing labels match information recorded on medication administration charts.

The registered provider must within 7 days provide the Commission with a copy of an audit regarding medication undertaken in relation to service users identified as being at risk of choking, setting out action taken as a result of the audit.

You are required to submit a report of the findings of your audits to the Care Quality Commission by 13:00pm, Thursday 2 July 2026 and the second of every month thereafter.
